Excellent experience start to finish – always very responsive to any queries and the turnaround on the property I was buying was very quick, even in the busy time leading up to stamp duty deadline. Jenny was always very helpful and went above and beyond to close on a short timescale.
Davis Blank Furniss has acted for Cheshire-based SATIS Group in a deal that saw it acquire Barnett House which is a 33,000 sq ft office on Fountain Street in Manchester city centre. Barnett House has been empty since 2021 after the subsidiary of IWG that held the lease went into administration. SATIS Group bought the property from former owners Canada Life International.
SATIS Group now plans to refurbish the building and deliver a modern “best-in-class” workspace. Last year, it completed the refurbishment of 22 St John Street, which consists of modern serviced office suites within the historic backdrop of a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse.
Rosie Korcz, partner in Davis Blank Furniss’ Commercial Property team, led on the transaction, assisted by the wider real estate team. Rosie said: “It was great to be so involved in another deal for SATIS Group and I am really looking forward to seeing what they will do with Barnett House – especially after the fantastic job they did with 22 John Street.”
SATIS director Tom Morley said: “Over the years, Rosie has become an trusted advisor so we were once again delighted to collaborate with her on what was another landmark deal for the company.”
