Excellent experience start to finish – always very responsive to any queries and the turnaround on the property I was buying was very quick, even in the busy time leading up to stamp duty deadline. Jenny was always very helpful and went above and beyond to close on a short timescale.
Our corporate and commercial team recently acted for Four Saints Hotels in their purchase of The Merrion Hotel in Llandudno – continuing to showcase its expertise in acquisitions in this sector. It also represented the owners of the Hand Hotel in Llangollen who sold to international investment firm Zeitgeist Consulting Pte Limited.
The Merrion Hotel has 62 bedrooms and is located in the stunning Llandudno Bay. Four Saints Hotels is headed up by Shoukry Rozek, and this acquisition is another significant addition to the company’s portfolio in the town which currently includes Brig Y Don, Headlands, White Heather and Lauriston Court.
The Merrion Hotel had been owned by the Bream family for over 75 years and was sold by brothers Gareth and Paul Bream. Four Saints Hotels acquired it by way of a share sale.
Sonio Singh, partner and head of the corporate team, led the Davis Blank Furniss team. Corporate and banking support was provided by Andy McNish, Lauren Sever and Olivia Rollinson; whilst Roseline Adedeji advised on the commercial property aspects of the transaction. Christie & Co were the sales agents.
Sonio Singh said: “After 75 years in the same ownership, this is a new and exciting era for The Merrion Hotel. As a long-standing and valued client – we were delighted to expedite completion for Shoukry within what was a tight timetable. I am sure Shoukry and his team will do amazing things and we wish them every success.”
Shoukry Rozek added: “The Merrion Hotel has a great pedigree, and we are delighted that it is now part of the Four Saints family. Our focus will be on delivering an exceptional experience to our guests and building on its legacy as we look firmly to the future.”
