Excellent experience start to finish – always very responsive to any queries and the turnaround on the property I was buying was very quick, even in the busy time leading up to stamp duty deadline. Jenny was always very helpful and went above and beyond to close on a short timescale.
Davis Blank Furniss has acted for Neil Westwater on his acquisition of The Vinyl Whistle Ltd which is a hugely popular record shop, music venue, café and bar in Headingley, Leeds. As well as holding a great record collection the venue is synonymous with football as the previous owner was a Premier League referee. Neil will continue these themes with an eclectic wall display all about celebrating the links between music and football, with Neil’s love of West Bromwich Albion being a prominent theme.
Davis Blank Furniss advised on all corporate and property aspects of the deal. The team was led by Sonio Singh, partner and head of the corporate department. He was supported by Lauren Sever, senior associate; Rhiannon Turner, solicitor; and Hannah Kay, trainee solicitor.
Neil Westwater: “I’d like to thank Sonio and the DBF team for making the purchase a simple process from my side. Their commitment, diligence and expertise helped guide me every step of the way.”
Sonio Singh added: “I have known Neil since sixth form, and we share a dual passion for music and football allegiances, so myself and the team were delighted to advise him on this deal. We achieved completion prior to the Christmas break which was vital as it is a key trading period in this niche sector.
