Excellent experience start to finish – always very responsive to any queries and the turnaround on the property I was buying was very quick, even in the busy time leading up to stamp duty deadline. Jenny was always very helpful and went above and beyond to close on a short timescale.
Davis Blank Furniss recently acted in a deal that saw the sale of the Hand Hotel in Llangollen, North West Wales, to international investment firm Zeitgeist Consulting Pte Limited.
The business is now being operated by Compass Hospitality which is a full-service hospitality group headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand. It operates hotels in Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and the UK.
Davis Blank Furniss represented the sellers of the Hand Hotel and delivered a range of legal services. The team was led by Sonio Singh, who is a partner and head of the corporate team. He was assisted by corporate colleagues Lauren Sever and Olivia Rollinson, and by Rhiannon Turner who handled the property aspects of the transaction.
The Hand Hotel was sold off a guide asking price of £1,900,000 by way of a share sale transaction. It features 58 individually styled en-suite bedrooms, a public bar, a bistro-style restaurant, private dining facilities, and conference space. Graham + Sibbald were the sales agents.
Sonio Singh said: “I was delighted to lead the DBF team on this transaction and expedite a successful sale for the sellers. Over the past 25 years, Louise Holland, former managing director and part owner of the Hand Hotel, has created a much-loved venue that has become a go-to destination in what is a beautiful part of the world. I am sure Compass Hospitality will build on that success.”
Louise Holland added: “The support we received from Davis Blank Furniss was fantastic and played a key part in ensuring the deal ran smoothly. We wish Compass Hospitality and the whole team at the Hand Hotel all the best for the future.”
