Excellent experience start to finish – always very responsive to any queries and the turnaround on the property I was buying was very quick, even in the busy time leading up to stamp duty deadline. Jenny was always very helpful and went above and beyond to close on a short timescale.
We are delighted to be joining forces with Capstone Financial for a free Inheritance Tax and Estate Planning Evening event on Thursday 18th May at Glossop Golf Club.
With inheritance tax (IHT) thresholds remaining frozen until at least 2028, more people are likely to be impacted by IHT in the future and planning for it is going to be increasingly more important. Official figures show that for the tax year 2022-23 HMRC are forecast to raise £6.4 billion in Inheritance Tax revenue and without the right advice, the effects of inheritance tax (IHT) could leave individuals and their families facing a personal tax bill of up to 40% of your estate.
The event we will cover some key areas of inheritance tax and estate planning, including: what key reliefs and allowances are available to offset an IHT liability; how ‘gifting’ and/or employing the use of trusts can offer key strategies in protecting your assets; and why wills and lasting power of attorneys are essential to your estate planning.
Speakers will include Andrew Williamson, director at Capstone Financial; Gary Morgan, chartered financial adviser at Capstone Financial; and Debra Kelly, partner at Davis Blank Furniss.
Date: Wednesday 18th May
Time: 5:30 – 8:00pm
Location: Glossop and District Golf Club, Sheffield Rd, Derbyshire SK13 7PU
Anyone who would like to attend, can email hannahs.capstone@sjpp.co.uk to reserve their place. Drinks and a buffet will also be served.
