Lawrence Bowles and Lauren Sever

We are delighted to announce that Lauren Sever to partner in the Commercial, Corporate and Employment team.

Lauren joined the firm as a paralegal in March 2017, initially in the Personal Injury team followed by a two-year training contract. On qualification in September 2019, she then moved across to the Commercial, Corporate and Employment Department. She was promoted to associate solicitor in 2022 and to senior associate solicitor last year.

Lauren focuses on a variety of core matters including mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements, commercial agreements, sales and purchases of businesses, company re-organisations, and corporate assistance.

Richard Hamilton – managing partner of Davis Blank Furniss – said:

“Lauren is a highly talented lawyer who has over the years become an integral part of the team. This promotion is much deserved and is a recognition of the value she adds.

Richard added: “As a business, we are passionate about nurturing talent from within so it’s fantastic how quickly Lauren has progressed her career. She started as a paralegal and is now a partner so we hope her trajectory will inspire other up and coming lawyers within the business.”

Lauren added:

“Over the past seven years, the firm has supported my ambitions and I am delighted to now be a partner. My focus moving forward will be on delivering for our clients and helping to grow the department’s reach across the North West.”

Excellent experience start to finish – always very responsive to any queries and the turnaround on the property I was buying was very quick, even in the busy time leading up to stamp duty deadline. Jenny was always very helpful and went above and beyond to close on a short timescale.

Ben Armitage

“Very approachable, practical solutions to problems, but most of all very responsive which I personally think is very important because if you need help, you need it quickly, or at least to know someone is looking at it for you”.

Anon (Personal Injury client)

“Before putting my case in Kirsty (Morbey)’s capable hands I’ve met a couple of other solicitors. None of them listen to me as intently as Kirsty and showed me as much empathy and understanding as she did. Simultaneously she was able to look at my case from legal perspective, explain all the options and follow each of our meetings with written summary of the discussed matters (in timely manner). Her advice was invaluable and led me to successfully ending the case matter (hopeful for good). I’m forever grateful for he work and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for reliable, knowledgeable and committed solicitor”.
