Excellent experience start to finish – always very responsive to any queries and the turnaround on the property I was buying was very quick, even in the busy time leading up to stamp duty deadline. Jenny was always very helpful and went above and beyond to close on a short timescale.
Davis Blank Furniss is delighted to announce that it will be staging a regular Family Law drop-in advice clinic with Manchester Free Legal Help (MFLH) on a pro-bono basis.
The first clinic will take place on Friday 28th October (alternate Fridays thereafter) at the Manchester Civil Justice Centre.
Davis Blank Furniss will offer advice on all family matters including divorce, separation agreements, matters concerning children, civil partnership and financial settlements.
The aim of MFLH is to assist people who need legal advice and support but are unable to afford it, or are not entitled to Legal Aid. It was set up in September 2014 by The University of Manchester School of Law and is supported by LawWorks. It offers pro bono legal advice and support by coordinating appointments (face to face or telephone) with a volunteer solicitor or barrister.
The new Family Law clinic will run from 10am to 12pm on a first come first served basis.
Caroline Bilous – senior solicitor at Davis Blank Furniss – said: “MFLH offers an amazing service to some of the most vulnerable people in Greater Manchester so we are delighted to be helping them.”
Riana Goldman – project coordinator at Manchester Free Legal Help – added: “MFLH is grateful for Davis Blank Furniss’ contribution towards our pro bono project. With their help, we will be able to assist more litigants in person and secure access to justice for all.”
