Excellent experience start to finish – always very responsive to any queries and the turnaround on the property I was buying was very quick, even in the busy time leading up to stamp duty deadline. Jenny was always very helpful and went above and beyond to close on a short timescale.
The Glossop office of Davis Blank Furniss has launched a free home visit service for elderly and housebound people in the town who need to access legal advice and services.
The new service, which will run for an initial three month trial period, will be headed up by Martyn Gee – head of Davis Blank Furniss in Glossop – and is designed to help anyone who is unable to visit a solicitor’s office in person.
The main legal advice on offer will be focused on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Property matters. Appointments will last for approximately 30 minutes, but longer meetings can be arranged if necessary.
Martyn Gee said: “The firm has been in Glossop for decades so we are acutely aware that there are many vulnerable people living in our community. Accessing legal advice can be daunting at the best of times, but when you are housebound or incapacitated the prospect of venturing out can be overwhelming. The aim of this new initiative is to relieve that angst and to give something back.”
