Excellent experience start to finish – always very responsive to any queries and the turnaround on the property I was buying was very quick, even in the busy time leading up to stamp duty deadline. Jenny was always very helpful and went above and beyond to close on a short timescale.
We are all extremely disappointed when local services fail to supply a good standard of care. Over the last few years, one of our local hospitals, Tameside Hospital, has had a particularly troubled past. Put into special measures after an investigation into mortality rates, the hospital was taken out in September 2015 with a condition attached that an improvement in standards was still required.
Considering the above, the recent good rating by the Care Quality Commission has to be applauded as standards of care and practice must have improved significantly. The CQC found a number of areas of outstanding practice. It was particularly impressed by a forward thinking programme to support pregnant women with alcohol problems.
Sadly, some problem areas were highlighted. Tameside Hospital still has some way to go in relation to staffing levels. It has been asked to ensure that there is always the requisite number of nursing staff available to meet the need of patients. This – of course – is a problem across many hospitals in the NHS and Davis Blank Furniss has investigated a number of cases where low staffing levels have led to mistakes being made and a poor quality of care provided.
