Join a firm where people matter

At Davis Blank Furniss LLP, we are proud to be a long-established Manchester law firm with a reputation for delivering exceptional legal services to both businesses and private clients. Alongside our thriving Manchester city centre office, our Glossop office plays a key role in serving clients across the region.

Following our recent move to fantastic new offices in the heart of Manchester, complete with on-site gym facilities and a genuinely supportive, collaborative culture, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to join our friendly and ambitious real estate team.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and client-focused lawyer to manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters from instruction through to completion.

Your work will include a mix of leases, sale and acquisitions, corporate support, finance work, and development.

As the main point of contact for your clients, you will build strong relationships while working closely with other solicitors, banks and lenders, financial advisers, commercial property agents, and other third parties. You will provide an outstanding client experience through regular communication by phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.

We are also looking for someone who enjoys building relationships. If you have experience networking and developing new business opportunities, we would love to hear from you.

As part of our collaborative team, you will also have the opportunity to supervise and mentor trainee solicitors and paralegals, helping to develop the next generation of legal professionals.

Regular supervision, training, and mentoring are provided as part of our commitment to developing our people. You will join a supportive team that works collaboratively to solve problems and share expertise, with a culture that prioritises teamwork, learning, and mutual support rather than internal competition.

About You

You will ideally have up to 2 years’ recent PQE (or equivalent experience in a similar role) and be looking for your next challenge within a highly regarded, forward-thinking firm.

You will also bring:

  • Experience managing a busy commercial property caseload independently
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
  • Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
  • Commercial awareness and sound legal judgement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a supportive team
  • A strong commitment to regulatory compliance and delivering exceptional client service
  • Professional presentation and relationship-building skills

Experience in all real estate areas is preferable, but where you are willing to learn supervision and teaching will be provided.

What We Offer

In return, you will join a firm that values its people and invests in their success. We offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Pension and life cover
  • Hybrid office and home working
  • Excellent career progression opportunities
  • Modern Manchester city centre offices
  • On-site gym facilities
  • A welcoming, supportive, and friendly team culture
