Excellent experience start to finish – always very responsive to any queries and the turnaround on the property I was buying was very quick, even in the busy time leading up to stamp duty deadline. Jenny was always very helpful and went above and beyond to close on a short timescale.
To celebrate Christmas, we have donated £50 to every school in Glossop to spend on books. The initiative was the brainchild of Susan Bann, partner head of residential property. She was supported by Debra Kelly, partner and head of private client; and Kirsty Morbey, head of the family department .
Over the past few weeks, we have contacted each school and donated a total of £600 to promote and encourage reading. We have also, for the second year running, given over our prominent Woolley Bridge poster site to Glossopdale Foodbank.
Debra Kelly said: “First and foremost we are a Glossop firm, so we want to give back to the local community as much as possible. We partner with The Bureau for regular drop-in clinics, sponsor various Round Table events, and try to support as many local sports clubs and festivals as possible. However, this Christmas we also really wanted to do something special for our schools who do an amazing job educating the next generation. We hope the donations make a difference.”
Craig Woodward – Headteacher at Whitfield St James’ CE (VC) Primary School – added: “We’d like to thank Davis Blank Furniss for this kind donation as it will directly benefit our school community and will help us to foster a love of reading.”
