Excellent experience start to finish – always very responsive to any queries and the turnaround on the property I was buying was very quick, even in the busy time leading up to stamp duty deadline. Jenny was always very helpful and went above and beyond to close on a short timescale.
We are delighted to announce that we have renewed our sponsorship of Glossop Music Festival in 2022/23, following the success of the 2021/22 season.
Glossop Music Festival was established in 2013 and has grown to become one of the region’s leading cultural events organisations.
This year’s Summer Festival, which took place in June, attracted nearly 1,000 people who attended 10 events including a family concert, a chamber orchestral concert and a late-night jazz concert.
Renowned musicians including pianist, Viv McLean; violinist, Eva Þórarinsdóttir; and cellist, Hannah Roberts all appeared. The festival also featured conductor Chloé van Soeterstède who has conducted across Europe and with the LA Philharmonic Orchestra in the United States.
Away from the main calendar, a special programme of education events for local schools took place which was based around Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, and the David Litchfield book, The Bear and the Piano. It included in-person school visits by musicians in the lead up to the Festival for pre-concert discovery workshops, and live zoom sessions with the illustrator and author, David Litchfield. It culminated in a series of schools’ concerts in St James’ Church, Glossop.
Kirsty Morbey, Partner at Davis Blank Furniss, said: “We are delighted to renew our support of the Glossop Music Festival. It puts community at the heart of everything it does which resonates with us as a business. We hope the festival goes from strength and we look forward to being part of its future.”
Claire Surman – Artistic Team Leader at Glossop Music Festival – added: “The Glossop Music Festival relies on the generosity of sponsors like Davis Blank Furniss so we are incredibly grateful for their continued support as it allows us to deliver an exciting and ever evolving programme for the whole community. We want as many people as possible to engage with the festival and this money will help us to create the broadest range of events possible.”
